Sonal Sehgal is a television star who started her career with television serial, 'Saara Akash' as a role of a terrorist, 'Sanjana'. After that, she acted in the 'Hotel Kingston' television serial. Recently, her new movie ‘Aashayein’ is going to release with John Abraham, directed by Nagesh Kuknoor.

Sonal Sehgal was born on 13th July, 1981 in Chandigarh, Punjab, India. She was educated at Spring Dales School. She got married with Naresh Kamath who is a musician. She started her filmy career as an actress with the movie ‘Radio’. Sonal was actively involved in theater in school time but she never thought of being actress. She completed her studies from Delhi University with English Honors.

Sehgal had assisted ad filmmaker and director Pradeep Sarkar before pursuing her career as an actress. Sonal wants to become famous director and as per her will she will shortly direct a movie if possible. She also did a couple of music videos with Pankaj Udhas, Euphoria, Jazzy B, Bally Sagoo and Harbhajan Mann. More than 20 commercials like Nestle' Bar One, Aaj Tak, Dabur Hajmola are also done by her. She also worked for about 40 episodes in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Sonal Segal has worked in a Hinglish film called You Dumsie Me with Gautam Rode (who also features in Baa Bahu Aur Baby).
