Third Star Magic Ball 2009 was held on August 30, 2009 at the Shangri-la hotel. It was one of the most glamorous nights and there were hundreds of celebrities graced in the local industry. For all artists of ABS-CBN, it was an opportunity as they walked in the red carpet with their first- class gowns and tuxedos made especially by A- list designers and stylists.

Real life sweethearts Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil won the 2009 Star Magic classic chic pair prize. Maja Salvador and Rayver Cruz got best dressed couple prize. John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo and Anne Curtis bagged the most stylish, most elegant and most glamorous prizes respectively.

The stars that highlight the event were Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, Melissa Ricks, Matt Evans, Claudine Barretto, Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, John Lloyd Cruz, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Shaina Magdayao and more other stars.
