Www.employment.tn.gov.in is the official website of Employment and Training for the Directorate of Employment Tamil Nadu. To fulfill the manpower necessities of the private employers and the long cherished dream of the Job Seekers, the ultimate destination of multi-national companies, Tamil Nadu is going to open its professional and technical manpower database through the web. The online database contains details, which connects over 2.7 lakh Job Seekers.

The individual employers can access the database to shortlist candidates based on qualification, subject specialization, academic grade, gender, age, district and experience. Job Seekers can post their resume and service details, for better prospects after registration at Professional & Executive Employment Office (PEEO). Online renewal facility is facilitated over the web. The site also contains Career Guidance information.

The Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labor National manages Employment Service Exchange. Assistance to unemployed educated youth residing in the respective States to pre-register for impending job vacancies occurring in different sectors of that state is provided by Employment Exchanges in over 900 states.

On the basis of qualification and experience, Employers can request these exchanges to provide a list of job seekers to select from the registered candidates according to their necessities. The employer in every establishment in public sector in that state or area has the compulsion to notify that vacancy to such employment exchanges, according to the Employment Exchanges (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) Act, 1959.

Requirements to register:

To get Tamilnadu state government Job, Tamil Nadu candidates can register in Tamil Nadu State Employment Exchange. Educational qualification to register in Tamil Nadu State Employment Exchange is Graduation and Post-Graduation in the Professional and Executive line. Tamilnadu Students having this qualification can register with the Professional Employment Exchange and Executive Employment Exchange, Chennai. Tamil Nadu State Employment Exchange online Registration facility is also available for effortless Registration.

• To register with an Employment Exchange, candidate requires to fill up the application form, which is either available online for download or with the Employment Exchange in their area of residence
• Attested photo copies of all educational and experience-related certificates are to be submitted by the candidates along with the application form
• Any proof of residence/identity in the area: Voter card, ration card (issued at least one year ago), passport, domicile certificate, any proof that shows that father or husband of a female (shifted to the area after marriage where willing to register) is a permanent Original copies of all the certificates to produce for verification at the time of registration
• Caste Certificate (optional) and photographs taken within last three months
• Resident of the area
• Certificate of SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen, etc
• Certificate of Date of Birth

How to Register?

With the respective Employment Exchanges in the districts, candidates in possession of qualifications of Professional and Executive standards could also provide the details of their educational qualifications. The Employment Exchanges situated in the districts will forward such details to the Professional and Executive Employment Exchange, Chennai, which in turn will register the candidates and send the identity cards directly to the candidates. With the Employment Exchanges, candidates in possession of experience could register their experience not later than two years from the date of discharge. Persons, who are appointed on the basis of nomination, effected by the Employment Exchanges could intimate the fact of discharge from jobs, within 90 days from the date of discharge, to the Employment Exchanges, and re-register.

Any postponement in this regard could be condoned up to a period of 18 months. For persons already in employment, provision is also available to register their higher qualifications to search for better, suitable opportunities by producing a "No Objection Certificate" from the present employer. In Kancheepuram, Vellore, Trichy, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Coimbatore, Erode, Uthagamandalam, Salem, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Nagercoil, Special Cells are functioning in Employment Exchanges for registering and offering placement services to Physically Handicapped candidates.

After registration in the employment exchange, a registration number is issued. Registration is free of charge means for the registration; no fee is to be paid. Registration can be made for a maximum 4 occupations with suitable qualifications and experience.

Renewal of Registration:

With the Employment Exchanges, candidates should renew their registrations once in three years. Candidates could apply for renewal up to 18 months from the month during which the renewal falls due, who fail to renew registrations in due time. This concession can be availed only once.
