Tata Motors is the leading car manufacturer in India. The company has launched many vehicles in the Indian as well as in the global car markets. Among all the Tata cars, Tata Manza has been the bestselling model in the Indian car markets. And, now the company is preparing to launch another version of this bestselling car. The latest version of the Tata Manza is a compact sedan, named as Tata Manza CS. The new variant of the car is expected to offer a better fuel efficiency with better performance.
The Tata Manza CS will come in both petrol and diesel variants. For the petrol model, it has a 1.4 litre SAFIRE engine generating 89 bhp max power at 6000 rpm and 116 Nm peak torque at 4750 rpm. The diesel variant will feature a 1.3 litre QuadraJet diesel engine that produces maximum power of 89 bhp at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. As far as design and styling is concerned the Manza CS will be similar to the Manza till the C-pillar, the rear bumper will be slim and boot will be also short. The head lights, front grille, tail lamps and doors will be similar to the Manza. The Manza CS will share most of the interior parts with its parent including a similar steering and centrally mounted instrument cluster. However, SRS airbags and steering mounted audio controls may be absent in the new car.
Manza CS will also attract Manza customers who are looking for a cheaper and more feature-rich alternative of the Manza. The company will benefit from lower excise duties as the Manza CS is a sub 4-metre version, which is classified as a small car. The lower duty will be passed onto the customer, so the car will be priced aggressively. The Manza CS may come with 5 color options including Monarch Red, Tyrian Wine, Dew White, Jet Silver and Siena Gold. The Tata Manza CS could launch by the end of this financial year. The Manza CS is expected to be priced around 6 to 7.5 lakhs.
