On 13th June, 2010 The 61st Tony Awards was telecasted live on CBS at 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay). It was presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The red carpet of the 2010 Tony Awards was rolled out in front of Radio City Music Hall in New York City at 6PM ET and the Create Arts Awards at 7 PM ET.

Many stars were presented in the 61st annual Tony Awards like Katie Holmes, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Angela Lansbury, Mark Sanchez, Daniel Radcliffe, Paula Abdul, Antonio Banderas, Cate Blanchett, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Douglas, Scarlett Johansson, Lea Michele, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Chris Noth, Bernadette Peters, David Hyde Pierce, Raquel Welch Barbara Cook, Stanley Tucci, Idina Menzel, Laura Bell Bundy and more.

Performances from the casts of all of the nominees for Best Musical American Idiot, Fela! Memphis and Million Dollar Quartet and Best Musical Revival Ragtime, La Cage aux Folles (featuring Kelsey Grammer) and A Little Night Music (featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones) were included in this ceremony. Performers like Green Day, Glee’s Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison, cast members from Come Fly Away, Everyday Rapture, and Promises, Promises has also given their performance during the live telecast.

Lea Michele arrived at the 61st annual Tony Awards with her strapless orange gown from Zac Posen. A nominee for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play, Scarlett was dressed in a deep green-colored fully embroidered gown with a plunging neckline and cut-out detailing from Elie Saab, and completed her look with Harry Winston jewels and a Judith Leiber hold.
