Here you can get the information about wiki of Toolset in the dragon Age. A 'developer-grade' toolset has been released by BioWare which allows modification and customization of the game. Users can create their areas and modifying scripts which will enable the customization of things such as enemy AI and character creation. PC version of the game has released the toolset. It is a free download from the dragon age community site, but not included on the game disc.
Script editor: The features of script editor are auto-complete and a built-in help. Here sample is given of what can be done by script:
- Add new spells
- Add new skills
- Control weather (to some degree)
- Add visual effects
- Add blood splatter to an NPC
- Trigger finishing blows
Level Editor: The level editor allows users to create new indoor and outdoor levels for their module. You can place buildings in level editor. The external users can deform, add water planes, place props, and scatter trees and grasses. Up to 3 textures simultaneously users can blend. In the game all the interior and exterior levels were made by using the level editor. It is important to note that you can not walk under a bridge since the path finding data does not support.
Area Editor: The area editor, for adding in creatures, triggers, placeables, sounds, etc. The user has complete freedom over its placement when placeables are placed. In 3D the object can be fully translated or revolved.
Conversation Editor: An enhanced version of the conversation tree method is used by the conversation editor which was used in Neverwinter Nights. Conversation editor is tied to the plot editor allowing the user to easily change plot flags during dialogues.
Plot Editor: At the same time the Plot Editor is really simple and powerful. The users can create new quest by using it. In a lot of ways, each quest flag can triggered. It was showed that killing a team of monsters (set by the user) could automatically trigger a change in the plot without any script of any kind in a developer demo.
Cutscene Editor: One of the breakthrough features of the toolset is the cutscene editor. In the modules of users without any scripting of any kind, cutscene editor will allow them to create their own cutscenes. The camera of users can be set by them in 3D as well as assign the different animations and line of dialogues to the various NPCs. during a cutscene music and sound can also be added. The volume and trigger off each one in the area can be set by the user. A cut scene could eventually call another cutscene when it ends using a script according to developer.
Module Packaging: A module could be packaged in a single file was showed by recent events which could be easily installed by the player.
Export/Import: It was made easy for different users to share parts of some module using an Export/Import method.
Importing Assets: Importing assets like- textures, models, and sound will possible. Scott Meadows, a BioWare senior programmer, said that they know it is required and that they have planned on providing file formats and wiki instructions on how to do it.
