Your CaneID password keep secret your rights of entry on many UM systems and should be known only to you. When you know that your CaneID has been exposed to others, you can change your CaneID password.

Meaning of CaneID Authentication Service (CAS):

When you click on myUM, it requires University of Miamis' authentication. CAS is a login service that allows you to way in multiple password protected Web services after logging in once using your CaneID and password on a central authentication server. Without re-entering a username and password, suitable feature allows users to use additional systems and to submit as single sign-on.

First time using your CaneID: If you are first time using your CaneID, then it will be required for you to create your CaneID login by some identification.
