Change address online process is completed in six options such as “forwarding date”, “type of move”, “name & address”, “identify verification”, “Catalog forwarding”, and “confirmation”.
But first of all you need to tick mark on permanent or temporary option according to your plan. If you have no plans to move back to your old address, then select permanent option. If you plan to move back to your old address within 12 months and your initial forwarding period will be limited to a maximum of 6 months, which you may extend to a maximum of 1 year, then select temporary option. Then in “forwarding date” option, enter the start date when you want to start forwarding your mail to your move to address. The date must not be over 30 days in the past or over 3 months in the future. Please allow at least 7-10 business days to start receiving mail at your new address.
When you enter the date and click on “continue” option then you will be forwarded to next option, “type of move”. You have to select your type of move such as individual, family, and business.
