During the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 at Las Vegas, one of the popular Asian consumer electronics manufacturers ViewSonic has announced a new low end Android-powered smartphone the ViewSonic ViewPhone 3. It is the first smartphone by ViewSonic.

Body:
With a black shiny body, the phone weighs about 122 grams. The screen of the mobile is outfitted with four Android capacitive buttons which give it a good look. The dimension of the phone is 114.55 x 62.55 x 13.2 mm. It has a 3.5-inch touch screen display with a Micro USB port which is on left hand side and 3.5 mm jack at the top of the phone.
Camera and memory:
ViewSonic ViewPhone 3 sports a 5 megapixel camera with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and records video with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. Videos of 3GP and MPEG4 are supported. It is powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227T processor. It owns 512 MB RAM and added 512 MB ROM for storing data. The user can expand the memory up to 32GB through its support for microSD card slot.
Battery and connectivity:
The phone has a 1500mAH lithium-ion battery which provides a Stand By Time of about 160 hours and Talk Time of 385 minutes. Due to the Android Operating System, user can download many applications as well as access number of built in applications like Youtube, Google Talk, Google Maps, Navigation, Google Search, Gmail etc. It also has features like Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR, GPRS, GPS / AGPS, 3G HSDPA 7.2Mbps / HSUPA 2Mbps, and: Micro USB 2.0 port.
