The Walter Hawkins last journey of the life was held at the Paramount Theater 2025 Broadway Oakland, CA. The funeral arrangements for the Bishop Walter L. Hawkins have been released. On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 @ 7:00 PM PST (Free Admission) Musical Celebration Featured Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary and Bebe Winans. Funeral procession was held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 @ 11:00 AM PST.
The Walter Hawkins memorial recital will be televised this Sunday July 25th, 2010 on GMC (formerly the Gospel Music Channel). For those of us who loved Walter Hawkins' music but live too far away to attend the memorial service and funeral have received good news. If you are not sure that you have GMC, please check with your local cable or satellite provider.
The memorial service will air at 8:00pm EST and 5:00pm PST. According to the GMC website, there will also be a program entitled “Walter Hawkins Walk of Faith and Fame” airing proceeding to the memorial concert at 6:00pm. The memorial concert is only available on GMC.

Walter Hawkins, gospel great, pastor, and bishop, passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer last week. In honor of Walter Hawkins, there will be a memorial service July 20th at 7:00 PST. The funeral service is on July 21st at 11:00am PST. Both services will be held at the Paramount Theater in Oakland.
