All the 60 matches of Indian Premier League (IPL) Season III 2010 will be telecasted live by Sony Setmax from 4 pm and 8 pm IST.

Sony has got the global broadcasting rights of Indian Premiere League. IPL will now be revealed live in many countries all over the world on TV as well as internet. Along with India, IPL has also fan base in more other countries like USA, UK, Australia, and South Africa.

The IPL broadcast rights were won for $1.03 billion by SET and World Sports Group (WSG). IPL matches will be telecasted in the Indian sub-continent and WSG will explore the international market. 90 percent inventory is closed by setmax in IPL 3. As the channel has sold entire inventory sponsors like Vodafone, Videocon, LG, Samsung, Pepsi Co, Godrej, and Hyundai, IPL looks promising for SetMax. All of sponsors are expecting the revenues to go up by 30% this season. The sponsors like Vodafone, Videcon, and Pepsi, all have bought second slots for around 5 lakhs which have been allotted to them at 180-200 seconds per match according to Set Max, and the other sponors like Godrej, Samsung have been bought the slot at 4 lakhs with time of 120-140 seconds per match.

Around 900 crore for 2010 edition that would be 50% higher than in 2009, the channel SetMax is expected to bring. The executive chairman of media planning agency told that “IPL will draw more revenues than the ground sponsors for their local activation with matches played in there.”
