About American Express Gift Card:

American Express Gift Card is a prepaid payment device which comes with a set dollar value that is printed in the front of the Gift Card. This gift card is not same as credit card, charge card or debit card. The Gift Card can be used by million businessmen in the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands where American Express Cards are accepted. You can use this card for meals and entertainment or to purchase goods from catalogs, online vendors or at your favorite store. The Gift Card cannot be used at Cruise Lines, Casinos, and ATMs or for recurring billing purchases (cellular phone service, subscriptions, etc). You have to sign on the backside of the gift card before using. Please note down the number of Gift Card and the Customer Service number, so it will help you in case of lost or stolen of card.

Instruction for activation of the Gift Card is provided on the face of Gift Card. You can give identification information about your home phone number, date of birth, and zip code for protection purpose. Depending on the type of Gift Card, purchase charge will be charged between $3.95 and $6.95 for in-person purchases. No service fees charged after purchase. Gift Cards issued by American Express, starting on September 30 2009, will no longer incur monthly service fees. After purchasing, American Express has removed all fees on its Gift Cards. Gift Card has no expiry date, but it has "valid thru" which written in the front of the Gift Card. In case "valid-thru" date expires, they will issue you a replacement Gift Card free of charge.

There are two types of Gift Cards, General Gift Card and Personalized Gift Card. You can order gift card online as well as at stores. You can order up to $75,000 online while the limit of the gift card at stores can be vary by seller and determined by the policies and procedures of each seller. If you want to order your card online, for that first create logo of your choice and speak with an American Express representative to finalize your order. You will get your card within 6–10 business days after you approve the design online and speak to an American Express representative. No minimum order is required for all Business Logo orders. General Gift Card:

In General Gift Card, “Gift Card Recipient" name is printed on the front of the Card and can be purchased online or at an in-person seller. The charge of the gift card differs by denomination for web orders. You will get information about purchase charge on the order form and covers order processing and packaging. Orders of below $200 can be shipped first class mail by USPS for $5.95 per order. UPS can ship all the order with signature verification on delivery, for either $15.95 per order for Next Day delivery, $12.95 per order for 2nd day delivery or $7.95 per order for Ground. The Gift Card is available at $25, $50, $100, $200, $500, $700, $1000, $2000 and $3000.

Personalized Gift Cards:

On the front of the Personalized Gift Cards, the recipient’s name in raised letters is printed with the gift amount, and a personal message from you. You can buy this card online only. The charge of the Personalized Gift Cards differs by denomination for web orders. You will get information about purchase charge on the order form covers order processing, packaging and Gift Card personalization. For $2.00 per Card, all orders can be shipped First Class Mail by the U.S. Postal Service and for $9.95 per Card, expedited mail via UPS. The Personalized Gift Card is available at $25, $35, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200, $250, and $500.

You can call at 1-877-297-4438, in case your Gift Card is lost, stolen or used improperly. You must provide the Gift Card number and other identifying details to verify the card details.
