Amazon.com, Inc. is an American multinational e-commerce company with headquarters in Washington, United States. It is one of the largest online retailers of the world. The company has separate retail websites for United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Germany, Spain, Japan, Italy and China. It also provides international shipping services to certain other countries. Apart from its shipping services, Amazon.com offers online return service to the customers who want to return the items purchased from Amazon. Amazon.com has a feature called the Online Returns Center where the customer can return the products purchased from Amazon. They can also replace the items received as gifts and check the details of the current returns. Products that are new and unopened may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Such products will be liable for a full refund, which will be received within 2 or 3 weeks after the return of the product. For replacing a product, make sure that the product being replaced is for one of the same version. For a different item, first return the item and place a new order.
The company was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994. The company started as an online bookstore. Later it diversified, selling CDs, DVDs, MP3 downloads, software, electronics, video games, apparel, furniture, toys, food and jewelry. Bezos wanted the name of the company to begin with "A," so that it would appear early in alphabetic order. To return an item purchased at Amazon, go to the Amazon Return Center (www.amazon.com/returns) and select “Return items”. You will be directed to a new page where you will have to type your email address and your Amazon.com password. Now click “Sign in using our secure server”. Find the order containing the product you wish to return. Download and print the authorization and label.
Now pack the item that you want to return in a box and place the packing slip securely in it. You can use the box in which the items were arrived or some other another box to pack the products. Attach the shipping label on the outside of the box. Leave the package for the mail carrier to pick up, or take it to a shipping center or post office. Wait for the refund to be processed. If you want to return an item that you received as a gift, ask for the order number from the person who gifted you the product. This number is required to get a packing slip from the Online Returns Center.
In case, the return date of your purchased item has passed and you cannot return it, just sell it. You may sell this item online at Amazon.com. Items like book, cassette, CD, DVD, video game or video may be sold easily. Go to the website and find its exact match on the site and click the ‘Sell yours here’ button. And you are done.
