Every individual who is paying tax; all have an IRAS PIN Number. IRAS PIN is a personal identification number which is used to access IRAS e-services at myTax Portal. The IRAS PIN will be given you by mail to your residential address which is submitted by you. Within five days of your request, your IRAS PIN Number will be sent to your address. The PIN mailer may take some little time to reach you, if mail address maintained with IRAS is a foreign address.

If you are a Permanent Resident of Singapore, then you can obtain a SingPass. SingPass is an ordinary password, which helps you to transact online with the government, also IRAS e-services. You can also apply online for SingPass at www.singpass.gov.sg. Within 4 days, your SingPass will be mailed to you.

How to apply online for IRAS PIN?

First you have to submit the Tax Reference Number. Then enter the Name, E-mail Address, Contact Number, Reasons for PIN Application. Click on the “Submit” button. To apply online, click here.

You can use various IRAS e-services at myTax Portal. Individual, Businesses, Goods & Services Tax, Property Tax and EASY are the e-services which you can use at myTax Portal. It also offers some other-services like e-Stamping, e-Submission, e-Submission Donation, and View Account Summary.

Individual includes: For locals (employees, contract staff, pensioners, working overseas), For foreigners (employees, professionals, public entertainers, non-resident directors)For locals.

Businesses includes: Productivity and Innovation Credit, For companies, For partners, For sole-proprietors/self-employed, Responsibilities as an employer (IR8A, IR21, tax treatment on employee remuneration).

Property includes: For property buyers, For home owners, For other building owners, For Land owners, For estate agents & lawyers.

An online service available in myTax Portal helps you to:

• View tax account details;
• Request a statement of account;
• View a payment plan schedule;
• Make payment through Internet Banking; and
• Request a payment voucher to make payment by other payment modes.

If you once receive your IRAS PIN then you can easily login for online e-services. In just few minutes you can use various facilities online. It is secure and safe for the taxpayer. No need to worry about your personal information because your IRAS PIN Number is your personal, do not share it with anyone.

On its website, there are two options given SingPass and IRAS PIN; you can login by both ways. If you want to login through IRAS PIN then, just click on the IRAS PIN Number then enter the “My Tax Reference Number” and enter the “My IRAS PIN”. Then you have to click on the “Login” button here.

If you want to login via SingPass then first enter the SingPass ID and SingPass. Then you have to click on the "Submit" button.
