Www.ocr.org.uk – Qualifications:

OCR is offering a number of qualifications to meet the needs of learners of all ages and abilities. Around 10,000 schools and colleges keenly deliver OCR qualifications.

Types of qualifications of OCR:

There are two types of Qualifications – general and vocational. They are alienated into different levels.

  • General qualifications: Normally, the General qualifications are taken between the ages of 14 and 19 and include GCSEs, AS and A Levels. As part of assessment, these qualifications always include tests/exams.
  • Vocational qualifications: Generally, these qualifications are taken from the age of 14 plus and include NVQs and Key Skills. To have a much greater focus on learning practical skills, these qualifications are designed.

Past papers:

On this site, currently a number of past papers are available; you can download all papers free. But first, find the qualification you are interested in to see what is available. OCR is continually looking to boost this in response to increased demand. They will be providing a wider range of papers in the near future.

Hard copy past papers material

A wide range of materials are offered by OCR Publications for customers to purchase. These paper materials are also providing the last two year's worth of past papers and related mark schemes/reports and a range of support materials. You can view the Order publications section, if you would like to browse the OCR Publications Catalogue, or find out more about ordering these materials in hard copy.

OCR - www.ocr.org.uk Training

OCR Training provides an inclusive program of training events to offer necessary support in the delivery and assessment of the full range of OCR qualifications. To give training courses for deliverers of GCSEs and AS/A Levels, Diplomas, OCR Nationals, NVQs, the new CLAiT suite and other work-related qualifications, OCR work with staff in the 14-19 and post 19 Assessment Divisions.

Approximately 1,500 courses of half or one day's duration at accessible locations around the UK are organized by OCR each year. They are also employing trainers who are experts in their field. You can get annual program details by mail your centre in June and December each year.

1. Training Courses:

On this section, you can get the information of the latest training courses for 2009 – 2010 year. OCR’s new online booking service ‘EventBooker’ is the easiest way to search for training events.

OCR offer a range of Training Courses like:

  • Get ready - courses covering new OCR qualifications.
  • Get started - courses specifically for newly qualified teachers (NQTs) and centres introducing OCR subjects.
  • Get ahead - courses for teachers who wish to improve delivery and assessment of OCR qualifications.
  • Lead the way - courses for those seeking to innovate.
  • Mill Wharf - generic courses which are not tied to any specification or awarding body.

2. Book Training:

Through this feature, get information and guidance on how to book OCR training courses. To book your training courses, there are four easy ways.

Online by EventBooker: By new Eventbooker system, you can book any course online. EventBooker lets you find book courses online and pay either by debit or credit card or by invoice.

By Post: You can complete the training booking form which can be found at the back of the training booklets, if you would like to order by post. Complete the form and sent to Progress House Westwood Way Coventry CV4 8JQ.

By Mail: If you want to email your order, then complete the training booking form and email to training@ocr.org.uk.

By Fax: If you would like to order by fax, then please complete the training booking form and send it to 02476 496399.

Training booking form can be downloaded in PDF version as well as Word version.

How to pay for courses:

There are two easy ways to pay for your course.

  • By invoicing your centre
  • By credit card – your three digit security code must be included
