Yoandri Hernandez Garrido, a Cuban man who is born as a local celebrity with six fingers on each of his hands and six toes on each foot, hence total 24 fingers & toes. Any uniqueness of the physical part of the body is known as polydactyly. But in case of Hernandez Garrido, it is really a noticeable thing that he has unusual but perfectly formed extra digits. Nobody can notice anything different if they glance quickly at his hands and foots. One must have to be paused for a while or started counting to identity his dissimilarity. One of the Fidel Castro's doctors and Hernandez‘s Cuban orthopedist has also declared that he had never seen such type of well-formed polydactyly in his entire experience. One side Hernandez's condition in terms of polydactyly is relatively common, but it has been seen in rare case that the extra digits to be so perfect and all fully functional as of him. This unique thing brought him at the top of the every leading news portal.

Usually, physical traits of the people stands for nicknames like 'shorty', 'fatty' or 'veinticuatro'. The Spanish word 'veinticuatro' means 'twenty-four' in English. Hernandez Garrido is 37 year old man known as "Twenty-Four" in his native Baracoa of Cuba due to his extra digits of fingers and toes.

Once, Hernandez's primary teacher asked him how much was five plus five and as he was very young he could not reply for the question. Then the teacher told him to count his fingers, so he answered 12 which made the teacher little upset. Thus, sometimes this simple truth considers as a challenge of life for Hernandez.

Hernandez never feels guilty about his extra digits, despite the fact that he wants to be an example to children who have been born with polydactyly, and he would like to realize them that the condition is not detriment every time. Hernandez is proud of his exceptionality and considers it as blessing. Hernandez said that he uses his extra digits to make his living by scrambling up to the top of the trees to cut down coconuts. Moreover Hernandez becomes popular guy with his exceptionality, also this resulted as financial advantage for him and he collects good amount by posing for pictures with tourists.
